Lenco Pro Control Auto instantly counteracts dynamic running conditions to deliver greater control at all speeds, faster response times, and improved turning stability.
Auto-leveling systems like Zipwake and Seakeeper Ride are next generation trim tabs that correct boat pitch fore and aft, but also side to side roll, to deliver a consistently stable ride that automatically adjusts to sea conditions. One sea trial on a boat with either system reveals the dramatic improvement in ride and on-board comfort. Now comes a new auto-leveling system, one from a surprising source.
Lenco, a parts and accessories manufacturer known for trim tabs, actuators, and controls, has launched Lenco Pro Control Auto, a new auto-leveling system for counteracting an array of dynamic running conditions, including on-deck weight shifts, and minimizes re-entry impact riding over swells. Unlike the rapid-deploying blade-like interceptors mounted on the transom for the Zipwake and Seakeeper Ride systems, Lenco’s system features traditional trim tabs with beefed-up actuators tied to CAN-based hardware that seamlessly integrates with NMEA2000 engine systems.
Pro Control Auto sells for $2,650 and is an easier installation in part due to its NMEA2000 connectivity that eliminates the need for an additional control box. Like Zipwake and Seakeeper Ride, complete system kits are sold direct to DIY boat owners.
According to Lenco, real-world testing revealed that Pro Control Auto will deliver:
- A 74% improvement in auto-leveling.
- A 24% average reduction of re-entry impact.
- Improved hole-shot, allowing boats to plane faster, improving comfort and visibility with a rapid transition into auto-leveling.
- Greater control at all speeds and faster response times, enabling near-instant adjustments to sea conditions with a bank angle calculator for improved turning stability.
“Lenco aims to develop products that will enhance the boating experience, and we are confident that Pro Control will deliver more stability, comfort, and durability than anything else on the market, at any price point,” says Patrick Roberts, who leads the Performance Components division at Lenco’s parent company Navico Group.
At the helm, the skipper can manually control the system through a simple, intuitive keypad with dial that enable fine-tuning adjustments for roll, bow up or down, along with stored settings.
